A Culture-Free AST, Built on Metabolic Activity
Vivid Dx uses Raman spectroscopy to perform phenotypic AST by measuring deuterium (D₂O) uptake—revealing the metabolic activity of individual bacterial cells instead of relying on growth signals.
Resistant cells continue to metabolize in the presence of antibiotics
